Venue hire includes a great range of facilities including:

Free Venue Hire

Function room hire is free for all members. All we require is a £100 deposit on booking, which is refundable should there be no damage or cost for additional bar staff incurred throughout your booking (please see full Terms and Conditions).

 Not a member?

You must be a member to make a venue booking, however, you can easily join and enjoy free venue hire at SPCC.

Hire options:

Day-time function

Southern Parishes Conservative Club can be hired Monday – Sunday from 12 noon.

Evening functions

Evening functions typically start at around 19:00 and we are licenced to serve alcohol until 23:00. You may set up from 18:00 onwards (with flexibility on this time subject to prior functions and club events before your booking).

Additional fees:

Catering: We currently do not provide catering on-site for function bookings, however, you may bring your own buffet or source an external caterer. We do ask for a £25 fee to be paid if you choose to bring your own food onsite.

40+ guests: If you have more than 40 guests attending, you will require an additional member of bar staff. There is an additional fee of £40 to cover the costs.

Cleaning up: We ask that you take all your rubbish with you and clean up after the party. However, if you would prefer for us to clean after your party, there is an additional fee of £25 to cover this.

How much is it to hire SPCC?

Hire is free for all members. You simply need to pay a £100 deposit, which will be refunded should there be no damages etc (see Terms and Conditions). Included in your free hire is a staffed bar. If you intend to invite more than 40 guests, you will require an extra member of bar staff. There is an additional fee of £40 to cover this cost.

Can I bring my own food?

Yes, you may bring your own food. There is an additional fee of £25 if you choose to bring your own food.

Can I decorate the venue?

Absolutely! Balloon arches, banners and table decorations are all welcome. All we kindly ask is that you avoid table confetti and confetti balloons as the hoover doesn’t take too well to picking them up!

What sort of drinks do you sell at the bar?

We sell a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. From wines and prosecco to ales, beers and spirits, as well as soft drinks and non-alcohol beers, our bar is always stocked and ready for your event. If you know that you or your guests have a favourable tipple, please let the bar staff know on booking, and we’ll aim to source it prior to your event.

How far in advance do I need to book?

We always recommend booking ASAP, as at certain times of the year we get booked up fairly quickly, particularly over weekends and bank holidays. Please be aware that a £100 deposit must be paid on booking. We are unable to ‘hold’ dates or ‘pencil you in’. The booking will not be secured until the deposit is paid.

Can I hire a bouncy castle?

Unfortunately not! We do not allow bouncy castles and other similar inflatables on the premises.

A few things to note when booking your function with SPCC

Number of guests: Ensure that you provide your final numbers of attendees at least 2 weeks prior to your booking. Please do not exceed the maximum capacity.

Guest list: You will need to ensure that you provide a guest list of names and street address 2 weeks prior to your booking.

Birthday Parties: We are so sorry, but no 18th or 21st parties! Unfortunately, we do not take 18th or 21st birthday parties.

Parking: You can leave your car overnight Our car park is free to use and you may leave your car overnight. Please be aware we accept no responsibility for any cars parked in the car park.

Payment: You and your guests may pay by cash or card. We also offer cash-back of up to £20.
